IND vs AFG: After a thumping win in the first T20I, Team India will return to the Arun Jaitley Stadium for the second T20I against Afghanistan.
Although the Indian team registered a comfortable win against the Afghanistan team in the first T20I, the fifth bowling option emerged as a point of concern for the men in blue.
Nitish Kumar Reddy, who returned to the Indian team after a long injury layoff, looked rusty as he was belted around the park by Omarzai and Nabi. On the other hand, Shivam Dube, who bowled the final over,r also went for plenty. Interestingly, Abhishek Sharma did chip in with a decent over; his ability to bowl more than one over is still a question.
Coming to the batting, Indian batters were flawless and hit the bullseye. However, the usual debate of whether Sanju Samson should open or whether Vaibhav Sooryavanshi should get a go at the top remained. Samson’s poor outing in the first T20I, where he was dismissed cheaply,y also did not help his cause. Whether India will make the change is something to be seen.

India Team News
Varun Chakaravarthy has been ruled out of the second T20I due to a side strain that he picked up after the first T20I. He will be flying out to CoE Bengaluru, where he will be undergoing some scans to monitor his situation. In place of Varun Chakaravarthy, Ravi Bishnoi can be drafted in the squad as a like-for-like replacement.
Afghanistan Team News
The Afghanistan team is set to field a full team as there are no major injury concerns. India was comfortable in the first T20I to play Afghanistan’s spin attack. Looking at that, head coach Richard Pybus might just make little tweaks in the playing 11 and draft in Naveen-ul-Haq.
