IND U19 vs PAK U19: India’s star batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi got out early, and that left the Pakistan cricketers excited as ex-cricketer Sarfaraz Ahmed, who is the head coach of Shaheens, was seen clapping in the dugout as he knew how important this wicket was.
Suryavanshi, who had scored a record-breaking knock of 171 runs against the UAE in the tournament, got out after scoring five runs off six balls.
He was left frustrated as he failed to create an impact against their arch-rivals. He got out in the 4th over as fast bowler Mohammed Sayyam took his wicket.
Suryavanshi, who was seen struggling, had smashed a slower ball directly to the bowler, and that’s how he was dismissed.
Sayyam was seen celebrating aggressively after taking the wicket along with his teammates and turned in their favour. The dug-out too started celebrating as they were seen giving high-fives to each other, as they knew how important it was to dismiss Suryavanshi early.
While batting first, the Men in Blue got a huge blow as Suryavanshi fell in the fourth over, but captain Ayush Mhatre and Aaron George helped the team bounce back by stitching a partnership of 49 runs for the second wicket.
They were reeling at 113/4 and then Abhigyan Kundu, along with Aaron, stitched a partnership of 50 runs for the fifth wicket. And when they were 174/6, Kanishk Chouhan and Khilan Patel stitched a partnership of 33 runs for the seventh wicket.
When Sayyam took Khilan’s wicket, Kanishk and Henil Patel then built a partnership of 31 runs for the eighth wicket. They were eventually skittled out for 240 runs.
