According to the report of Free Press General, continuous action is being taken against Shilpa and her husband Raj Kundra after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) registered a case against them. Earlier, in another case, on December 17, the Income Tax Department had conducted a search operation in Dadar area of ​​Mumbai and Bastion in Bengaluru, of which Shilpa Shetty is the co-owner.

A case of fraud has been registered against Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra under section 420 of the Indian Judicial Code. This case has been filed by businessman Deepak Kothari, which is of fraud of more than Rs 60 crore. According to the complaint, the couple had convinced Deepak Kothari to invest approximately Rs 60 crore in shopping and online retail platform Best Deal Private Limited between 2015 and 2023. Kothari alleges that the couple used the money given by him for their personal gains rather than for business purposes. In this case, the Enforcement Directorate is investigating against Shilpa and Raj Kundra.

Why was Shilpa Shetty’s restaurant raided?

Actually, a new case has been registered against Shilpa Shetty’s restaurant Bastion in Bengaluru. This restaurant is located in St. Marks, Bengaluru. The complainant has alleged that this restaurant remains operational even after the time limit set by the government and late night parties take place here. On December 11, 2025, when the police officer was on special patrol duty in the area under the police station, he got information about Bastian restaurant being open late at night. Based on a tip received from an informer, he arrived and inspected the restaurant.

In the FIR registered against the restaurant, it is written that when the complainant reached the restaurant at 1:30 in the night, he found that the manager of the restaurant was running it illegally after the time limit set by the government. However, the Kundra couple have rejected the accused and have requested people to exercise patience, citing that the matter is sub-judice.
