Shaguftta’s life is no less than the script of a film. He does not know anything about his real mother till date. She was raised by famous actress Anwari Begum. Some people say that she is the granddaughter of Anwari, some say that she found her on the road.
Travel from Bar Dancer to Writer
Due to poverty, Shagufta was pushed into the market of Jism at the age of just 17 years. He started dancing in private parties. In an interview, he told that the atmosphere of these parties was like a brothel, where people who looked Sharif also came with other women. After this she went to Dubai and started working as a dancer at once. He used to get 3000 rupees a night.
Mahesh Bhatt gave a chance
In the year 2002, Shagufta met Mahesh Bhatt. Mahesh Bhatt recognized his ability and gave him the opportunity to write some scenes from his first film ‘Kalyug’ (2005). After this, he did not look back and wrote several blockbuster films like Lamhe (2006) to Murder 2, Jannat 2 and Aashiqui 2. In this way, he changed his luck on the strength of his hard work and talent.
