Kerala prison suicide: An assistant prison officer was found hanging in the jailor quarters of Tawanur Central Jail in Malappuram. The deceased has been identified as Barsaat (29), a resident of Chittoor in Palakkad. The rain had sent a message to his brother last night to a message on WhatsApp that he was going to commit suicide. But the brother saw the message this morning. He immediately informed the jail officials. When the officer reached the quarter, the rain was found dead. The rain was on duty yesterday. He later committed suicide by coming to the quarter. He was unmarried. The cause of suicide is not yet clear. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
