A 23 year old girl was raped and murdered in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha. Giving information about the case, the police said that the girl was raped twice at different places in a day by her boyfriend and a stranger who offered help.
After this he was thrown from a four-storey building, due to which he died. Police have arrested both the accused. The incident happened on February 22 when the woman had left home with her boyfriend with a plan to elope. The lover had asked her to come to a temple with the promise of marriage. However, he took her to an isolated place, raped her and left her at Rahma bus stand.
Raped by a stranger after giving her a lift
When the victim was waiting for the bus at the bus stand, another man from Jharkhand reached there. He was going to nearby Paradip on his motorcycle. He saw the woman and offered help. However, he took her to the terrace of his rented house at a place in Paradip town and raped her again, the SP said. Police said that after this the accused threw the woman from the roof of the building due to which she died. His body was found there the next morning.
Police registered a case on brother’s complaint
The deceased’s brother had filed a complaint at Paradip Model Police Station on February 25, alleging that his sister was raped and murdered on February 22. After the woman’s body was found, a case of unnatural death was registered on February 23. On the evening of 22 February, the girl’s brother had filed a missing case at Tiratol police station when his sister did not return home.
