New Delhi: In a major success, the police in Bihar have successfully closed a kidnapping case within six hours of filing the FIR.
In a show of great proactiveness, the Gaya Police took action and rescued a kidnapped youth safely in the case of kidnapping for ransom. According to the police FIR, a written complaint was filed on August 6.
What happened in the case?
As per the complaint, the kidnapped youth was going to the Gangti market. At that time, some criminals abducted the youth near the Bagiya turn of Imamganj at around 3 pm. After that, they demanded Rs 8 lakh as ransom.
In this regard, an FIR was lodged in Imamganj police station under case number 239/25, dated 06.08.2025, and an investigation was started. The team of Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaya, immediately arrested the criminals involved in this incident, and the kidnapped person was rescued safely.
The special team of police
It is noteworthy that a special team was formed under the guidance of the City Superintendent of Police, Gaya and under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Imamganj. The team comprised Imamganj, Chhakarbandha, Maigra, and Bhadwar Police Station officers, among others.
The special team conducted a raid in the Pichulia forest of Chhakarbandha on the basis of special technical research, identification of possible hideouts and secret information. They managed to nab the criminal and safely rescue the kidnapped youth Munnawar Khan alias Tabu Khan from near Nakti Bridge of Imamganj police station of Gaya district.
During interrogation, it was found that the incident was pre-planned and many people were involved in it. The vehicle used to commit the crime and some of the accused involved have been identified.
