New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the last ‘Mann ki Baat’ of 2025 on Sunday, December 28. Modi shared the key moments from 2025 and spoke about several events across the fields of national security, sports, and innovations that brought pride and unity to the country.
“2025 gave many moments that made every Indian proud. From national security to sports, from scientific laboratories to the world’s biggest stages, India has left its mark,” PM Narendra Modi acknowledged the nation’s achievements in 2025.
The highlight of the Mann ki Baat was when the prime minister heaped praise on Operation Sindoor as he quoted that “today’s India does not compromise on its security.”
Modi termed Operation Sindoor as a symbol of the pride of every Indian. He also expressed the natives’ love and devotion towards Mother India from every part of the nation.
“This year, Operation Sindoor became a symbol of pride for every Indian. The world clearly saw that today’s India does not compromise on its security. During Operation Sindoor, pictures of love and devotion towards Mother India emerged from every corner of the country. People expressed their feelings in their own way,” Narendra Modi added.
Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 people lost their lives. Indian forces successfully destroyed nine major launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) and killed over 100 terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen facilities, according to the I&B.
PM Narendra Modi urges participation in 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram
PM Narendra Modi also addressed the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram. He urged people to send messages and suggestions for the Vande Mataram’s 150th anniversary.
“The same spirit was also witnessed when Vande Mataram completed 150 years. I had urged you to send your messages and suggestions with the #VandeMataram150. The countrymen participated enthusiastically in the campaign,” he said.
Earlier, Modi inaugurated the commemoration of Vande Mataram at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi and also launched a portal commemorating the National Song.
