LThe year 2025 was historic for luxury car manufacturing company BMW Group India. The company has recorded its highest ever annual sales in the last calendar year. Last year the company’s total retail sales stood at 18,001 cars. This figure shows a tremendous growth of 14 percent on an annual basis. If we talk about the sales of BMW and Mini, the BMW brand sold 17,271 units and the Mini brand sold 730 units, which means the total car sales of the company were 18,001 units. Meanwhile, BMW’s two-wheeler division, BMW Motorrad, also performed well, selling 5,841 motorcycles.

The last quarter of 2025 was the strongest for BMW. The company delivered 6,023 units between October and December 2025, which is a growth of 17 percent on an annual basis. This is BMW India’s best quarterly sales ever. Changes in GST rules also contributed significantly to this rapid growth.

Continuous new launches and India-focused products played a key role in BMW’s double-digit growth. In 2025, BMW and Mini introduced several large models, including the BMW iX1 long wheelbase, the new generation BMW X3, the 2 Series Gran Coupe, the Mini JCW Countryman ALL4 and the Mini Convertible. Premium motorcycles like BMW R 1300 GS and BMW S 1000 RR were also launched in the two-wheeler segment.

BMW India performed amazingly in the Electric Vehicle (EV) segment. The company achieved 200 percent annual growth in sales of electric vehicles. A total of 3,753 BMW and Mini EVs were delivered. BMW iX1 becomes India’s best-selling luxury electric SUV. At the same time, BMW i7 also gave tough competition to Mercedes-Benz EQC in its segment. To promote EVs, BMW has also developed facilities like 6,000+ charging points, destination charging, charging concierge and high-performance electric corridors.

BMW’s long-wheelbase strategy also contributed significantly to sales, which reached 8,608 units, a year-on-year growth of 162%. The BMW 3 Series Long Wheelbase became the best-selling premium sedan in the segment. The company achieved 22% growth in SUV sales. Total sales stood at 10,748 units. BMW achieved 60% of total sales. The brand’s best-selling SUV was the BMW X1, followed by the BMW X5.
