Former captain Imran Khan, who made Pakistan win the World Cup in 1992, is currently in jail. This legend was not only the captain of Pakistan but also the PM but the current Pakistani government has kept him in jail. Imran Khan has been in jail since 2023, he was arrested in Lahore and now he is imprisoned in Adiala Jail of Rawalpindi. According to reports, Imran’s condition is very bad and now 14 former captains have raised their voice for his help. The names of Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavaskar are also included in these giants. The former captains have written an email to the Pakistani government in which they have expressed deep concern over the condition of Imran in jail. Former cricketers appealed to the Pakistani government and said that Imran should be treated humanely in jail.

Former captains have emailed the government of Pakistan and reminded it that Imran Khan is not only Pakistan but one of the great players of world cricket. Former captains wrote that in 1992, Pakistan became world champion under the captaincy of Imran Khan and he made a big contribution in taking Pakistan’s cricket forward but now he is in jail and his health is deteriorating significantly. Imran Khan is accused of many scams and has been in jail for almost 1000 days.

Former captains made 3 demands for Imran
A total of 14 former captains including Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev have made three big demands for Imran.
- First demand- Imran Khan should be given good treatment immediately. They should be given specialist doctors of their choice.
- Second demand- Imran Khan should be given humane and dignified imprisonment as per international standards. They should be allowed to meet family members and friends.
- Third demand- Imran Khan should be given a chance to fight the legal battle fairly and transparently.
