The war between Iran and Israel is now affecting Basmati rice growers and mill owners in Jammu’s RSpura area. The Basmati crop of this region is mainly exported to Gulf countries. Due to the war, Basmati shipments have been stopped, causing financial loss and money loss to the farmers and mills. Farmers say that if the ban on exports continues for a long time, there will be a serious impact on production and livelihood.
