Iim ahmedabad dubai campus: The first international campus of India’s most prestigious business school, IIM Ahmedabad has been launched in Dubai. The event was attended by His Majesty Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoom, Dubai’s Crown Prince and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan of India Dharmendra Pradhan. On the occasion, the Education Minister said that Dubai Campus of IIM Ahmedabad is a big step towards bringing India’s education to the world. He described it as “Indian in Spirit, Global in Outlook” means a model with soul and global perspective in India. Dubai will prove to be an ideal beginning platform for this campus.

India-UAE Cooperation in Education and Research

The Education Minister met the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Dubai, Dr. Abdulrahman Al Avar. Both sides discussed increasing cooperation in higher education, working on research and innovation and strengthening cultural and academic exchange. Dharmendra Pradhan especially emphasized that India is a global talent hub and UAE is a global economic hub, so cooperation in the field of education and research between the two countries is even more important.

Education Minister met the principal of Indian Higher Education Institute in Dubai

Dharmendra Pradhan also visited Manipal University in Dubai and discussed there with the principals of Indian Higher Education Institutes like Symbiosis, Bits Pilani, MIT, Ametti. He understood how new models of education in UAE are working and how India can contribute to future plans. He also said that now the value of research should not be limited only to paper, but it is important to pay attention to turning it into product and market. Through this, India’s education, innovation and entrepreneurship will be strengthened at the global level.

Atal Tinkering Labs in CBSE schools

Pradhan interacted with principals of 109 Indian schools in Dubai. During this, he announced the opening of 12 new Atal Tinkering Labs in CBSE schools in GCC countries. Through these labs, students will develop science, technology and entrepreneur skills.

India-UAE symbol of friendship: Ghaf Tree

During the program, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan planted a guff tree plant in Indian Consulate, Dubai. It is the national tree of UAE. This plant will stand as a symbol of India-UAE friendship, stability and peace. It was installed under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s campaign ‘A tree mother’s name 2.0’. The first international campus of IIM Ahmedabad in Dubai is not only a symbol of educational cooperation, but also strengthens India’s contribution to the global education map.
