Nagarmotha is a plant that grows as a weed throughout India. Perfume is made from it and it is used as medicine. Nagarmotha buds are found in almost all the states of India. These are easily seen in places with more water. Even in dry states like Rajasthan, this grass is seen more during the rainy season and on the banks of reservoirs and ponds. Nagarmotha is found in abundance in moist and aquatic areas all over India. Its bushy plants are found up to a height of 6 thousand feet above sea level.

Nagarmotha grows in moist lands along the banks of rivers and streams. Flowers appear in July and fruits appear in the month of December.

In case of diarrhea, take Nagarmotha, Amla, Ginger in the quantity of 10 grams each and add 30 grams dry ginger to it and make powder.

Its use stops diarrhea and is also beneficial in spleen diseases.

By making a decoction of Nagarmotha fruit and consuming 20-40 grams every morning and evening, spitting from the mouth and mouth ulcers automatically reduce.

Making a decoction of Nagarmotha (Motha) fruit and mixing it with honey and drinking it in the morning and evening provides relief from fever, diarrhea and bile fever. Apart from this, Motha contains diaphoretic (induces sweating), diuretic (induces urination) and stimulant.
