If you play with farming in UP, NSA will be imposed, CM Yogi will not spare anyone. NSA Will Be Imposed On Black Marketing Of Fertilizers In Up

Yogi government is considering black marketing of fertilizers as a serious crime and is imposing NSA on the mafia. Daily stock reporting and surprise inspections have been implemented for transparency. More than 5,000 shops have been inspected in the last 2 years.

Lucknow, December 18: Yogi government is very strict regarding black marketing of fertilizers. By taking the strictest action so far against black marketing of fertilizers, the Yogi government has given a clear message that crimes related to farming and farmers’ interests will not be tolerated under any circumstances. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, strict action like National Security Act (NSA) is being taken against the fertilizer mafia. Yogi government believes that black marketing of fertilizers is not just a matter of supply or administrative negligence, but it is a serious crime directly related to food security, farmer’s livelihood and the economy of the state.

Provision for FIR and direct administrative action

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in clear words in the meeting that those who are profiteering by putting farmers in trouble are not only breaking the law but are also playing with the food security of the country and the state. Such elements will not be left out as ‘common criminals’. If necessary, stringent sections like NSA will be imposed against them, so that they do not become a threat to the society for a long time. Yogi government has given instructions to immediately register FIR on complaints of black marketing, hoarding and overrating of fertilizers. Now the matter will not be put on hold just by giving notice or warning. The district administration has been given the authority to take strict action on the spot. The Chief Minister said that it is not acceptable for the government that farmers have to wander from door to door for fertilizer. If black marketing is reported anywhere, the concerned authorities will directly intervene and ensure legal action against the culprits.

Accountability of officers fixed through surprise inspection

Yogi government has strengthened the system of surprise inspection to improve the fertilizer supply system. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, now not only the shopkeepers but also the officers who are negligent in monitoring will be held accountable. During surprise inspection, stock, sales register, rate list and distribution process are being thoroughly scrutinized. If a complaint of collusion or turning a blind eye comes to light at any level, then action is also decided against the concerned officer. Yogi government has implemented daily stock reporting system in all the districts of the state. Under this, every fertilizer shop and warehouse will have to upload information about available stock, sales and remaining quantity online daily. This will not only increase transparency, but the possible shortfall in any district or block can be assessed in advance. In such a situation, every move of the fertilizer mafia is being monitored using technology and timely action is being taken.

Inspection of more than 5,000 shops in two years

The strictness of the Yogi government can be gauged from the fact that in the last two years, more than 5,000 fertilizer shops were inspected across the state. During this period, licenses of hundreds of shops were suspended and canceled when irregularities were found. Heavy fines have also been imposed in many cases. The Chief Minister has instructed the officials that this campaign should not be limited to statistics only, but its impact should be visible to the farmers at the ground level. Yogi government has also clarified that there is no shortage of fertilizers in the state for Rabi season 2025-26. According to official data, the total availability of Urea, DAP and NPK is more than 130 lakh metric tonnes. The Chief Minister said that when sufficient stock is available, there is no justification for black marketing. If still an artificial crisis is created somewhere, it will clearly be considered a criminal conspiracy.

Trust to farmers, warning to mafia

The Chief Minister has appealed to the farmers to immediately send complaints of any kind of black marketing, overrating or forced tagging to the administration. The government stands with them and action will be taken on every complaint. At the same time, a strict warning has been given to the fertilizer mafia and it has been said that now the rule of law will be even stricter. There is no place in the state for those who play with farming.
