If you also use a credit card, then we are going to tell you some special things, knowing that you can save yourself from big losses.
5 important things to avoid credit card fraud
Do not share your information with anyone
You should never give OTP, CVV, PIN or password of your card to anyone. Whether a bank official becomes, sharing your important information on calls or messages is not free from danger. Frauds can withdraw money from your account by taking your information. Always keep in mind, the bank never gives you the right to ask for such information.
Check the identity when a call comes from the bank
If you get any call from the bank and they ask for any information, then first check their identity. For this, call the bank’s official website or customer care number. Never believe in suspicious calls.
Keep an eye on your account continuously
Pay attention to every activity related to your bank account and card. Keep transactions alert on mobile to immediately know whether any unauthorized transaction has taken place or not. If any suspicious transactions are seen, inform the bank and the police immediately.
Take full care of digital safety
Do not use public Wi-Fi while doing any activity related to banking or money. Always keep your mobile and banking app updated. Download any new app only from reliable sources like Google Play Store or App Store. Stop downloading the app from the suspicious link found on WhatsApp or email.
Take immediate action if you are in doubt
If you suspect any kind of fraud, first of all, block your credit card. Immediately inform your bank and file a complaint with the police. You can also file a complaint on the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal. Taking quick steps can reduce your loss.
