Actor Rashmika Mandanna‘s life has always been fodder for gossipmongers. Whether it’s professional life or love life, she has been at the receiving end of harsh trolling. She has been mocked for her accent, facial expressions, or performances in Hindi cinema. Despite succeeding in the film industry, she has received hate online. Recently, Rashmika opened up about the dark side of the entertainment industry with the ongoing trend of paid trolling and negative PR. The actress also shared how her kindness is misunderstood and perceived as fake.
Rashmika got candid about facing trolls and the judgment that often leads to an emotional toll on her. In a recent episode of Snap With Stars, she said, “I know that I am a very emotional person and a very real person. At the same time, I can’t really show it out because people think kindness is fake, kindness is weakness, they say she’s doing it for the cameras. The more real you are, the more unacceptable it becomes.”
Revealing being kind is her conscious decision, not for public attention. The Pushpa star stated, “Being kind doesn’t get me anything. It’s just something I choose to do.”
Exposing paid trolling in the industry, Rashmika shared, “It is such a sad thing because I’ve dealt with a lot of things, negative PR, trolling and pay people to troll. If you can’t be kind, then just don’t say anything. Let people breathe. Why do you have to suffocate people? Why do you have to strangle people to grow? No, let all of us grow. It’s fine. The world’s so big, there’s room for all of us.”
Rashmika will be seen in the Hindi film Thama opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. She has Telugu film The Girlfriend in the pipeline.
