‘If India died then who is alive then …’, Shashi Tharoor’s answer on the question of loyalty from Congress – News Himachali News Himachali

Congress Working Committee (CWC) member Shashi Tharoor said on Saturday that the nation is paramount and parties are a means to improve the country. Shashi Tharoor, MP from Thiruvananthapuram, said that the purpose of any party is to build a better India and the parties have the right to disagree on the best way to achieve this target.

According to the agency, he also said that he will be adamant on supporting the country’s armed forces and government as I believe it is right for the country.

‘Full right to parties …’

Shashi Tharoor said, “Now, parties have the right to disagree about what is the best way to do so, as you know, many people have been criticizing my stance a lot, because I have supported the armed forces and our government after what happened recently.” Shashi Tharoor was giving speech in a private program on ‘peace, harmony and national development’ in a program.

He further said, “When I talk about India, I talk about all Indians, not only those who like my party.”

Shashi Tharoor, citing the lines of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, said, “Who will survive if India dies?” And he requested the leaders and people of all parties that when the country is in danger, keep the differences on the shore.

‘Need cooperation with parties …’

During his speech, Shashi Tharoor further said that unfortunately, in any democracy, politics is based on competition. He said, “As a result, when people like me say that we respect our parties, we have some values and beliefs that we maintain in our parties, but in the interest of national security we need to cooperate with other parties, sometimes parties feel that it is betrayal towards them and it becomes a big problem.”

When Shashi Tharoor was asked if he had any problem with the Congress high command, he said that he had not come here to discuss any politics or problem. Shashi Tharoor said, “I have come to give two speeches, both speeches were on topics that I hope to give respect and importance. The first speech was on development, role of businesses and peace and harmony. I also believe in security and national interest. “

Regarding the recent voter survey dispute, Tharoor said that he does not clearly know who does such survey. Someone sent it to me and I did a salute in response. He said, “I have nothing else to say and I have not commented and I am not commenting.”
