became an overnight star with Saiyaara. While she gears up to begin shooting for Shakti Shalini, the internet noticed that her sister Reet Padda is also a fiesty, bold and no-nonsense person.
On Instagram, Aneet’s sister Reet reacted to a troll, criticising her opinions on The Kashmir Files, The Kerala Story, and Dhurandhar. While she found her ‘propaganda cinema’, the Instagram user did not agree with her beliefs. Reet slammed the troll for questioning her opinion. Reet replied to the comment on her recent post that read, “If you expect Priyanka to take a stand on Palestine, (she’s done more for Palestine by providing aid, etc.) maybe encourage Aneet to do the same as she steps into a global platform.”
Aneet Padda’s sister Reet hits back at troll
Reet reacted to the comment by saying ‘literally serves as a government-friendly narrative, using political speeches to justify, say, the minor hiccup of demonetisation’. She further criticised The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story by mentioning that they ‘enjoy a bit of creative math: “32,000 women converted to Islam!” when real cases barely scrape a few hundred.’ She added, “I’d be chill with such films…if it weren’t for the teeny issue that movies like Punjab ’95, which actually tackle political issues but stray from the ruling party’s script, can’t see the light of day.”

Reet Padda questions Priyanka Chopra’s silence
Reet addressed the Instagram user’s concerns with regard to her opinion on ‘s reaction to the Free Palestine chant on the Oscars 2026 stage. She shared, “She’s got a chance to oppose an illegal war next to someone taking a stand, and…she can’t even clap,” before mentioning that if Aneet gets that chance and ‘she chooses to stand there like a dodo bird’, ‘I will be the first one to call it out.’

Ending her note, clarifying that she does not discriminate against anyone based on caste. “I am fully unafraid to take a stand, even if everyone else is yelling “no!” at me. What I do discriminate against are political figures who drag religion into politics especially when the same politicians orchestrated the 2002 genocide against Muslims. That is terrorism, that is a crime, and I will call it out. Would anyone let a film about that pass without scrutiny? Doubtful,” she shared.
Reet further shared that though she doesn’t discriminate against individuals, she is unafraid to speak about ‘political dishonesty cloaked in religion’.
