Due to which the infection reaches the brain in four-five hours.
What to do immediately after a dog bite
However, there is no need to panic if a dog bites. Rather, there is a need for timely treatment and some precautions. If such an unfortunate thing happens in front of you that a dog bites someone, then keep in mind that 99% of the infection can be prevented only by washing the wound thoroughly. It is only necessary to wash the wound in running water for 15-20 minutes. In such a situation, take special care of this matter.
How many injections are required for dog bite?
According to doctors, the first eight days after a dog bite are very important. Therefore, the first dose of the vaccine should be taken on the same day the dog has bitten. Being careless in such matters can cost your life. After this, apply antiseptic like potash or Dettol. Get anti-rabies vaccine (ARV) administered by a doctor. If the dog has given a deep wound then immunoglobulin injection should also be given.
