ICC Rankings: Shree Charani, Deepti Sharma continue to hold top spots

Indian spin bowling duo  and Deepti Sharma continue to sit atop the ICC T20I Bowling Rankings, while seamers Kranti Gaud and Nandani Sharma registered significant gains following a dominant series win against Zimbabwe.

The host side took a commanding 2-0 lead in the three-match series in Raipur, driven by impactful contributions across the squad. Right-arm pacer Nandani Sharma, currently the joint-highest wicket-taker in the series with three victims, jumped an impressive 26 spots to rank 45th in the T20I bowling charts. Fellow seamer Kranti Gaud climbed nine places to 43rd. Meanwhile, India’s lead spinners Shree Charani (first) and  (second) preserved their top two positions courtesy of tight, economical spells against Zimbabwe

International movement in the T20I bowling rankings was also influenced by the opening trans-Tasman fixture between Australia and New Zealand in Sydney. Australia’s Annabel Sutherland moved up one spot to eighth, while New Zealand’s Jess Kerr climbed five rungs to 17th. Kiwi seamers Bree Illing (up six slots to 23rd) and Nensi Patel (up five positions to 35th) also made notable headway.

Australian stars gain in world rankings

Although Australia edged past New Zealand in the Sydney thriller, White Ferns batters Maddy Green (up three spots to 34th) and Georgia Plimmer (up 13 rungs to 48th) earned substantial moves on the updated T20I Batting Rankings.

The conclusion of the ICC Women’s Championship ODI series between Australia and Bangladesh produced notable changes on the 50-over charts. Experienced fast bowler Megan Schutt advanced one place to fourth among ODI bowlers.

Aussie veteran Beth Mooney maintains her spot as the number one T20I batter in the world, while a pair of her Australian teammates make the biggest jumps on the ODI charts following the completion of their 50-over series with Bangladesh as part of the ongoing ICC Women’s Championship.

Evergreen seamer Megan Schutt gains one place to improve to fourth on the list for ODI bowlers, while teammate Ellyse Perry jumps one spot to rise to ninth for ODI batters and an impressive 14 rungs to 25th on the rankings for ODI all-rounders.

There are also gains on the list for ODI batters for Sutherland (up four slots to 13th) following her unbeaten half-century in the series finale, while Sharmin Akhter Supta (up five places to 25th) is also rewarded on this list.
