ICC Rankings: India’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah’s No.1 position in the longest format is in danger. He still is the No.1 Test bowler as he has 879 rating points under his belt.
But Australia skipper Pat Cummins can challenge his position as he jumped 4 position and is lying in second place.
Cummins took six wickets in his comeback match of the third Ashes Test. He took three wickets apiece in both innings and registered match-winning figures of 6/117 and helped Australia win the match by 82 runs and a lead of 3-0.
On the back of his performance, Cummins replaced Mitchell Starc and finished in second position by scoring 849 rating points. He is just 30 rating points behind Bumrah to become the No.1 Test bowler. Travis Head jumped to 4 positions after scoring 815 rating points along with Steve Smith.

Head performed brilliantly in the third Ashes as he scored a match-winning knock of 170 runs off 219 balls and helped the hosts take a huge lead of 434 runs. At the same time, wicketkeeper-batter Alex Carey’s ton in the third Test helped him jump six positions as he joined the top ten and scored a career-best rating point of 737.

As far as the T20I rankings are concerned, Jasprit Bumrah jumped to 10th position and is lying at 18th position along with Maheesh Theekshana after scoring 622 points on the back of his brilliant performance in the 5th T20I against South Africa.
At the same time, Tilak Varma maintained his growth as he jumped one place and finished in third position. He was the highest of the 5-match T20I series against South Africa as he had scored 187 runs after playing in 4 matches at a staggering average of 62.33 and a strike rate of 131.69, including two fifties.
He also scored 73 runs off 43 balls in the last match and helped post a mammoth target of 231 runs. At the same time, Abhishek Sharma is still the No.1 T20I batter.
