Tejashwi Rana’s Education Qualification
Tejashwi Rana hails from Kurukshetra, Haryana. He did his schooling in Haryana. Initially his dream was to become an engineer. After tenth he started preparing for JEE, which is one of India’s most difficult entrance exams. After hard work, he qualified JEE and completed engineering studies from IIT Kanpur.
How did Tejashwi Rana become interested in UPSC?
During engineering, Tejashwi Rana had a keen interest in civil services. Inspired by the speeches and seminars of IAS officers, he decided to make a big change in his career. Now his dream has become an IAS. He started preparing for UPSC, leaving engineering.
Tejashwi Rana’s UPSC Preparation Strategy
Tejashwi Rana did not enroll in any coaching institute but paid attention to self -study. He started studying from CBSE NCERT books, class 6 to 12. After this, he practiced writing, gave mock tests and prepared his own study material. Also used online resources.
UPSC’s first attempt got a shock, success in second time
Tejashwi Rana chose Economics as an optional subject in the UPSC exam. For the first time she cleared prelims, but failed in Mains. However, he did not give up and made a second attempt in 2016. This time she completed all three stages of UPSC and secured 12th rank and became IAS officer. He got a total of 897 marks in the UPSC written examination, while 177 marks were found in the personality test. His total marks were 1074.

Tejashwi Rana is called ‘Lady Singam’ because he fined a party MLA during the Covid-19 lockdown. Currently he is posted in Kalimpong, West Bengal.
Tejashwi Rana’s husband and personal life
Tejashwi Rana’s husband Abhishek Gupta is a 2016 batch IPS officer. He has also done BTECH from IIT Kanpur. Stunning is IAS and her husband IPS is in public service and is also quite popular on social media.
