Actress Shanthi Krishna has said that she still wishes to act as the heroine opposite superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty. In an interview with Kaumudy Movies, she said that although she would love to take up such roles, she doubts whether the actors would consider casting her as a heroine now.
“They won’t think of me anymore. Mohanlal and Mammootty might not be ready to act opposite me. After portraying mother roles – like Nivin’s mother and Fahadh’s mother – they might feel it wouldn’t be appropriate for me to return as a heroine. But I am confident that if they do cast me even today, Malayali audiences will wholeheartedly accept it,” Shanthi Krishna said.
She also spoke about her house in Kochi. “I’ve now become a child of Kerala again. I’ve named my house in Kochi ‘Sreekrishnam.’ I bought my first house only after crossing sixty. I always wanted to return to Kerala, but I never got the chance. My children studied in Bengaluru and America, so it was more comfortable to live there. Now, both my children are in America, and I have nothing much to do in Bengaluru. So my children asked why not move to Kerala, where I have friends too. My friends also insisted I come to Kochi. The house is right next to the Sree Krishna temple. The moment I stepped inside, I loved it – so I bought it,” Shanthi added.
