‘I will dismiss him in 3-6 balls’: Pakistan pacer throws open challenge at Abhishek Sharma – WATCH

New Delhi: Pakistan pacer Ihsanullah Khan has thrown an open challenge at Indian batter Abhishek Sharma, claiming that he can dismiss the left-hander within 3-6 balls if he ever gets a chance to play against him. Ihsanullah’s audacious claims about Abhishek have gone viral on social media, sparking debate among cricket fans.

The Pakistan fast bowler has made the comments after Abhishek shone for India in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2025. The dashing left-hander played some phenomenal knocks in the tournament, taking the bowlers the cleaners to provide his team with strong starts at the top consistently. Abhishek also bashed the Pakistani bowlers in the tournament.

The left-hander, who is known for his clean hitting, blasted back-to-back half-centuries against Pakistan in the tournament, before suffering a blip in the final. He finished the tournament with 314 runs in seven games at a strike rate close to 200, leaving many in awe of his hitting prowess.

However, Ihsanullah, who rose to fame after his exploits in the Pakistan Super League 2023, where he bowled a 154.5kph delivery, feels he can challenge the Indian opener. In a clip that has gone viral on social media, the Pakistan pacer said, “Abhishek Sharma mere samne 6 ball se upar nahi tik payenga. Main usse teen ball mein out kar doonga (Abhishek Sharma won’t survive against me for six balls. I will dismiss him in three deliveries)”.

“My 140 (kmph) will feel like 160 to him. He won’t be able to judge them. To left-handers, I bowl inswingers, and he has struggled against such balls; that is why I am saying,” Ihsanullah added.

Who is Ihsanullah Khan?

Ihsanullah is a 6’5″ Pakistani fast bowler who rose to the limelight with his bowling heroics for Multan Sultan in PSL 2023. The right-arm pacer picked up 22 wickets in 12 matches in the season to finish as the second-highest wicket-taker in the league. He consistently bowled over 140kph during the season and also touched 154.5kph during his spell of 5/12, recording his best figures in the tournament.

The 23-year-old went on to make his international debut for Pakistan in 2023, but has so far managed to play only 4 T20Is and a solitary ODI for the country. An elbow injury hampered his progress, and he has failed to make a strong comeback. Ihsanullah has managed to remain in the headlines for his tall claims amid his struggles on the field.
