‘I lost the front a few times, I really struggled with the edge grip’ – Brad Binder

Brad Binder finished the Sprint race of the MotoGP Spanish GP in 11th position, being the third KTM on track – in a tough race in Jerez.

The South African from Red Bull KTM explained at the end of the day that he had difficulties with grip, which dropped considerably in the Sprint race:

– It was a tough race today. I expected a little bit more grip out there today, but especially this afternoon for the Sprint race there was quite a big drop in grip and that made it quite a lot more tricky. I was struggling a lot with the edge, it was difficult to keep a good flow. It was a little bit tricky, but I think, I feel, we can do a better job tomorrow.

Facing the adversities, Binder tried to manage, but also suffered with vibration issues: ‘I was trying my best just to do a clean race, and therefore I could really manage, because as soon as I tried to push a little bit harder I had a massive chatter. I lost the front a few times, and I really struggled with the edge grip. So, I got some work to do for tomorrow’.
