Hyderabad YouTuber Suicide Case: The body of Komali, a 21-year-old part-time YouTuber and science student, was found in her rented apartment in Hyderabad. Komali had been living alone for about 11 months and her note read that she was still waiting for the man with whom she was in a relationship for three years. The words in her diary indicate that the pain of heartbreak and loneliness weighed heavily on her life. She wrote, “I’m scared to move on because what if he comes back? I know I should let go, I know he’s not mine. But a part of me is still waiting, still hoping, still thinking that one day he’ll choose me.” She wrote that it felt impossible to move on because when she finally left, what if he would “turn around and find me”.

The body of Komali, a resident of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, was found hanging in an apartment. She was living alone for about 11 months while studying BSc from a private college in Hyderabad. Komali was in a relationship with a 27-year-old software engineer and fellow YouTuber for three years, but the couple separated. It is said that he had also attempted suicide six months ago. After which the question arises whether the loss of love was the main reason for her death, or was neglect of her mental health involved?

Last message and pain of the family
Before her death, Komali sent a message early on Monday to her mother B Satya Varalakshmi, who works in Kuwait, saying, “I love you very much mummy” and asked her to take care of her younger brother. When the phone went unanswered, his mother got the information through a friend. Police investigated the spot and found a ladder and a saree, which made it clear that it was a case of suicide.
Police investigation and digital evidence
Hyderabad Police has registered a case of suspicious death. Digital and physical evidence is being collected to understand the entire situation. This includes phone records, messages and statements from friends and neighbours. The body is being sent to Osmania General Hospital for autopsy.
