I have lost the election, I will not take a certificate of victory … Champawat’s Kajal Bisht is ‘game’ – News Himachali News Himachali

The three -tier panchayat elections in Uttarakhand were settled but a unique case in Champawat has hung the case. After declaring a lost candidate to the winner, now there is a wait among the people for the counting of votes again.

The case is of Champawat, the constituency of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Here in the panchayat elections, Kajal Bisht, a candidate for the post of village head, was declared as won. Now Kajal has refused to take the certificate. She says she has lost. Only the candidate who got more votes from them should be declared the winner.

This case of Champawat remains in the headlines. While the results of the election of Tarkuli Gram Panchayat were declared, Kajal Bisht got 103 votes and his rival Sumit got 106 votes. Both votes had a difference of only three votes but the election officials declared Kajal Bisht as a candidate. Kajal Bisht refused to take the certificate and asked the election officials that he had received less votes than the rival. Therefore, they are not entitled to this victory and certificate.

When this case was not resolved by the Election Officer on social media, Kajal Bisht lodged an objection in the court of Deputy District Magistrate Anurag Arya. The Deputy District Officer has ordered the Election Officer to get the counting of votes again within 30 days. Soon the date of re -counting can be announced. After this news came out, people are praising Kajal Bisht’s honesty on social media.
