New Delhi: In the latest development, advocate Wajid Khan, who filed petition against Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi and Jolly LLB 3 director Subhash Kapoor, said that he doesn’t “want anything from Akshay Kumar but want him to be careful about the way lawyers are portrayed in the film”.
Akshay and Arshad along with Subhash Kapoor were issued summons by a civil court in Pune for disrespecting judiciary in their upcoming film, Jolly LLB 3.
What did the lawyer say
Speaking to TV9, Advocate Wajid Khan said, “I don’t want anything from Akshay Kumar but I want him to be careful about the way lawyers are portrayed in films. I had filed before the release of both the films. The second part had shown lawyers helping students who are cheating.”
He further added, “It at least created an awareness about the way film shows the lawyers in an incorrect light. Also, such film scripts on the legal system should be cleared by a council of lawyers before being made into films. I have met and know quite a few celebrities as I work as legal advisors to many production houses.”
Earlier, he told ANI, “Whatever they have shown about the advocates and the judges is wrong. I filed a petition in the Pune court. And the court has asked Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi and the director to be present.”
