Actress Surveen Chawla’s courtroom drama web series ‘Criminal Justice 4’ has been released on the OTT platform JioHotstar. These days Surveen is giving interviews to the media and promoting her series.
During an interview, Surveen shared some painful experiences with her, which you will be surprised to hear.
‘Began to masturbate while sitting’
Surveen told that when she was in ninth class, a very scary incident had happened to her. She said, “I had gone out to play outside the house, when a man came there on a bicycle. I remember it very well. He called me towards him. As I started moving towards him, I saw that he was taking something out of his pants and then sitting on the bicycle started masturbating. I took a U-turn and I ran towards the house. I did not understand at that time what he was doing, I just felt something strange, so I did not go near him.”
‘Stuck in my mind’
Surveen told that the incident had shaken her to the core. He said, “Such incidents create fear and confusion in the minds of girls. They do not understand then, but that thing gets stuck in their mind and its effect lasts for a very long time.”

Surveen also shared her casting couch experience. Surveen said, “I had a meeting with a director on Vera Desai Road in Mumbai. We talked professionally, I even told about my husband because I was married at that time. When the meeting was over and I was going out, the director came to see me at the gate. As soon as I said goodbye, he leaned down and tried to kiss me. I pushed him away and I left.”
‘This is very wrong’
Surveen further said, “People assume that they have to go through all this to get work, but this is very wrong.” Surveen also said that now is the time to speak openly against this exploitation happening in the industry. Girls should be courageous and expose such people, no matter how big names they are.
