Faria Abdullah, who is currently promoting her upcoming film Sigma, has once again opened up about the recent controversy surrounding her participation in the Bonalu celebrations.
Faria, who is a Muslim, happily participated in Bonalu, Telangana’s cultural and religious festival. Her participation drew questions from some people, including members of her own community, following which she had earlier offered an explanation.
Now, she has spoken about the issue again, making her stance clear. Faria said she considers herself a progressive and modern woman and pointed out that she is living in 2026, not 1906.
She also said she believes in inclusivity and diversity and feels that people should be free to participate in and appreciate different cultures and traditions.
Faria further urged the media and social media users to focus on more meaningful issues rather than giving importance to what she considers unnecessary controversies.
She said such platforms should promote harmony and goodwill among communities instead of creating divisions.
