Delhi News: A young man named Pankaj, troubled by family dispute in Delhi, jumped from Yudhishthira Setu to Yamuna. Before the jump, he called the friend and talked.
Delhi News: In Delhi, a person committed suicide by jumping into the Yamuna river on Monday evening. The incident took place on Yudhishthira Setu near Kashmiri Gate. The young man has been identified as 36 -year -old Pankaj Srivastava. He lived with his family in Shahdara’s Bihari Colony and worked in a firm in Dariyaganj. It is being told that there was a rift with his wife, due to which he was very upset.
This thing with a friend before the incident
According to the information, Pankaj drank alcohol with his friend before the incident and then left for the house by auto. On the way, he called his friend and told that he was going to jump into the Yamuna. Shortly thereafter, he jumped from the bridge. An auto driver present on the spot jumped the young man and immediately informed the police.
Search operation starts with the help of divers
The police started the search operation with the help of divers, but nothing of the young man could be found till late night. A search operation was carried out for about 12 hours from morning till 8 pm on Tuesday, but there was no success due to strong current. The search operation was stopped when it is dark and the search will be started again on Wednesday morning. In -charge of Bot Club Harish Kumar said that the flow in Yamuna is very fast, hence the scope of rescue operation has been increased.

The person was under mental stress
According to police sources, Pankaj was under mental stress. There was a rift with his wife and she was living separately. Both also have a 14 -year -old son. It is being told that on Monday, Uttam Nagar was shifted to his wife’s son, due to which Pankaj was very hurt. At present, the police is looking for the youth and the case is being investigated.
