Hyundai Venue pass safety test, gets 5-star Bharat NCAP rating

New Delhi: The Hyundai Venue has received a 5-star safety rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests. This makes it one of the safest compact SUVs tested under the programme so far. It scored 31.15 out of 32 in adult occupant protection (AOP) and 44.46 out of 49 in child occupant protection (COP).

This is Hyundai’s second car to be tested by Bharat NCAP after the Tucson. The Venue’s scores are higher than most of its direct rivals in the segment, including the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Kia Syros. Only the Skoda Kylaq comes close, especially in child safety where it scored slightly higher.
