Hyundai has unveiled its ‘Concept THREE’ at the IAA Mobility 2025 show in Munich. This concept car marks Hyundai’s entry into the compact EV category, and joins the brand’s IONIQ family that already includes midsize and large electric vehicles.
Xavier Martinet, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Europe, said, “Concept THREE embodies our vision of delivering mobility that is practical, accessible and emotionally resonant.”
Design
The factor that makes Concept THREE special is its bold design, which Hyundai calls ‘Art of Steel’, a style that uses steel not just as a strong material but as a canvas for design sculpting.
The car’s body looks smooth and flowing, with sharp lines and clean edges, almost like steel bending in perfection. Hyundai is calling this design an “Aero Hatch”, meaning a hatchback reimagined for the EV era. It’s compact and practical like a traditional hatch, but with aerodynamic curves that add a sporty and futuristic look.
Inside the Car
The cabin is all about modernity, comfort, simplicity, and customization. Drivers get an intuitive, ergonomic setup, while passengers can enjoy touches like BYOL (Bring Your Own Lifestyle) widgets, which allow you to personalise the interior to suit their mood and lifestyle.
And here’s something special about this concept car ‘Mr. Pix’. This little symbolic character pops up inside the car as a fun symbol which sparks curiosity and adds a sense of playfulness to the whole experience.
Why It Matters
Concept THREE isn’t just another EV from the brand, but it is Hyundai’s way of showing the world how compact electric cars can be practical, stylish, fun and futuristic. It’s designed to appeal to everyday drivers while hinting at the future of small EVs.
