New Delhi: Hyundai have launched a new Summer Edition of the Creta, which comes with additional equipment and features to select trims of the midsize SUV, essentially bringing down some of the high-end features to the base and mid-spec trims. The Creta Summer Edition comes with both 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines but misses out on the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.
The Summer Edition comes across EX, EX(O), S(O), S(O) Knight, SX and SX Premium trims. The prices sit between Rs 12.05 lakh and Rs 17.88 lakh (ex-showroom).
Variant-wise features added
Some of the features variant-wise include rear window sunshade and rear camera with dynamic guidelines in EX(O) SE. EX(O) SE along with EX SE comes with smart key push button start and motion sensor. Both SX SE and SX Premium SE come with a 10.25 inch multi display digital cluster.
The EX(O) SE also gets Quad beam LED headlamps, Horizon LED positioning lamp & DRLs, LED tail lamps and R16 (D = 405.6 mm) Dual tone styled steel wheel.
The dashcam available in select trims comes with multiple recording modes, including driving, emergency/event, vacation and on-demand recording, along with photo capture. It also allows for downloading videos to mobile devices through a dedicated application. There isn’t any mechanical change to the Creta line-up. The two engines continue to be paired with manual, IVT and automatic transmissions, depending on trims.
The updates come as Hyundai expands feature availability across trims to sustain demand in the mid-size SUV segment. The Hyundai Creta has more than 14 lakh customers in India and, in FY26, recorded annual sales of more than 2 lakh units. That makes it one of the best-selling SUVs at present. As an SUV, it offers a range of features and a combination of powertrains that very few cars presently have. Creta even comes with an EV version, though that hasn’t yet hit the right notes in terms of sales, but overall, the nameplate keeps growing.
