New Delhi: A software engineer allegedly died by suicide in Hyderabad, alleging that his wife had extramarital affairs with several men. The 36-year-old allegedly ended his life by jumping into a lake in the Bachupally area of Hyderabad, police said.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Seetharam, a resident of Markapuram in Andhra Pradesh, took his own life due to marital disputes. He allegedly jumped into Hussain Sagar Lake in February this year.
Affair with 3 men
He left behind a 19-page suicide note in which he alleged that his wife Renuka had affairs with three men. He further alleged that his wife was in touch with the three men over the past one and a half years.
Police investigation revealed that Sitaram had married the woman from Nandyal in 2018. They were living in Hyderabad. Based on the suicide note and other evidence, police have detained three people, including Sitaram’s wife.
It is being reported that videos of Sitaram’s wife’s private moments with one of the men were circulated on Instagram. When Sitaram saw these videos, he couldn’t bear it. He then wrote a suicide note and died by suicide. The note stated that his wife was having illicit relationships with three men: Ramana Reddy, Shravan, and another man.
The police have registered a case and initiated a detailed investigation, and further action is being taken, taking all aspects into account. According to officials, digital evidence and social media activity are also being examined.
What was written in the 19-page suicide note?
“My wife’s extramarital affairs are the cause of my death. She had extramarital affairs with three men for about a year and a half. She recorded videos of her private moments with one of the men. That person posted those videos on Instagram. His name is Ramana. He has two thousand followers on Instagram. How can I tolerate seeing those videos? After watching those videos, I realised my wife’s true nature.”
“I never let my wife suffer any shortages, yet she cheated on me. When I wasn’t home, Ramana often came to my house and spent time with my wife. What does a wife really want? Love or physical intimacy? If that’s what she wants, no woman should record such videos of her illicit relationship.”
