New Delhi: Hyderabad-based deep tech startup Xbattery has introduced the XB-5K, a 5kWh home and office energy storage system that is scalable and meant for use in homes and offices. The energy storage system is like a powerbank for homes or offices, and is built on the indigenously developed BharatBMS platform by the startup. The BMS here stands for Battery Management System, and BharatBMS is the first indigenously developed universal high-voltage BMS architecture, offering superior after sales servicing, designed to reduce dependence on Chinese imports. China holds more than 40 per cent of the market share for BMS imports into India and 60 per cent of the global export market.
XB-5K weighs 37 kg, and delivers 5kWh of reliable backup power for electronics and appliances, including air conditioners for up to 24 hours. The energy storage system has a simple, plug-and-play device. The integrated data analytics is specifically designed to efficiently power homes and small offices, using the highest-quality lithium iron phosphate cells for long life and stable performance. The XB-5K is portable, safe and certified for everyday use. The energy storage system also has AI and ML enabled modes for pre-emptive outage response, realtime state of charge monitoring to prevent overcharging, advanced thermal management and adaptive cell balancing, all of which extend battery life by up to 15 per cent.
XB-5K lets you sail through frequent power outages
The energy storage system ensures that your home or office is not disrupted by power outages. Cofounder and CEO of Xbattery, Satish Reddy says, “Power outages still affect India’s growing economic productivity. An indigenously developed and affordable energy storage ecosystem is a necessity for the sustainable development of India. It’ll increase productivity, reduce import dependence, and simultaneously capitalise on export opportunities. We’re building the complete value chain from the ground up inspired by the simplicity of plugging a phone into a powerbank.”
Cofounder and CTO of Xbattery, Sonu Mishra says, “We’ve built from the ground up focused on real-time analytics, remote diagnostics, and automatic upgrades, exceeding global benchmarks. This marks our foray into rivalling world-class BMS and BESS tech. The in-house architecture adapts seamlessly to a host of diverse energy needs, from homes to EVs and offices to factories.” The startup has recently raised USD 2.3 million in seed finding, which will be deployed to further enhance research and development, design and manufacturing.
