Hyderabad: Assailants loot Rs 1 crore in Kukatpally; use chilli powder

Hyderabad: Four unidentified assailants on two-wheelers allegedly threw chilli powder into the eyes of two people from Bahadurpura, Khusru and Azeemuddin and fled with Rs 1 crore in cash in Kukatpally on Monday night.

The incident which occurred around midnight, was captured on CCTV cameras. The police have deployed four special teams to search for the culprits. Police suspect that the money involved may be Hawala funds.

 

The agents had collected the money near Pillar Number 825 in Kukatpally and three other motorcycles followed the bike carrying the cash.

The attack occurred before they had even traveled a distance of 100 meters after collecting the money. The individuals on the three trailing motorcycles threw chili powder at the men transporting the cash. As soon as the motorcycle fell to the ground, the culprits fled with the box containing the money.

This incident took place right next to the Kukatpally ACP office, officials said.

Ten injured after pharma bus overturns in Miyapur:

Ten people working at a pharmaceutical company were injured after the company mini-bus transporting them overturned in Miyapur area of Hyderabad on early Tuesday morning.

The mini-bus was carrying employees from KPHB to the company’s factory in Gaddapotaram Industrial Area when the accident occurred.
