A very serious case has come to light from Civil Line police station area of Gaya district, where a Muslim woman has taken the initiative to divorce her husband after 7 years of marriage. The woman alleges that her husband is unable to fulfill her physical needs and is also not mentally healthy.
This thing was hidden from her before marriage. In this regard, the woman has filed a complaint in Bihar State Women’s Commission. Didn’t have sex even on the first night of marriage According to the victim, she was married seven years ago. On the very first night of marriage, the husband neither talked to her nor had physical relations with her.
A few days after the marriage, she went to her parents’ home, but her husband neither called nor came to meet her. Later, when she went to her in-laws’ house, she had a fight with her husband and she returned to her maternal home. The woman says that she later came to know from her sister-in-law that her husband was mentally weak. The husband was able to have physical relations only after taking medicine.
Despite several attempts, the relationship could not be established, due to which she became mentally broken. The victim told that due to this she got depressed and also had thoughts like suicide. Relationship did not improve even after the birth of the child The woman also told that after a year she became pregnant and gave birth to a son, after which she started living at her maternal home. After 6 months, the woman came to her in-laws’ house with her child.
But even after the birth of the child there was no improvement in the relationship. Her sister-in-law did not treat her well at her in-laws house. Later, a compromise was reached in the presence of both the parties in the Madrasa and the woman was asked to give another chance. Although everything remained fine for some time, but then the same behavior of her husband started.
The husband neither talked nor fulfilled his responsibilities. Fed up with this, the woman decided to go back to her parents’ house and get a divorce. Husband said- does not want to divorce his wife The husband says that he does not want to divorce his wife. He alleges that when he went to his in-laws’ house to meet his son, his wife threatened him and talked about implicating him in the police, due to which he got scared.
The husband also says that he is preparing to open a medicine shop so that his income can be increased. Next hearing will be held on February 2 On this matter, Bihar State Women Commission Chairperson Apsara Mishra said that both the husband and wife have been explained. He says that since they have a son, both of them should live together and try to save the family. At present, both the parties have been given time to think and the next hearing of the case will be on February 2. This matter is now under consideration of the Women’s Commission and legal process.
