Accused Sachin Bhadauria (22) told the police that he kept wandering here and there for 4 hours after the incident. Also tried to escape, but later he decided to surrender. Then he himself went to the police station and surrendered and told the inspector – I have strangled my wife and her dead body is lying in a blanket on the bed. Accused Sachin told the police that it had been 4-5 months that we were living in a rented house. Two to three young men studying engineering also lived in front of my house. I went to party with friends on Friday night. At around 9 pm, I called Shweta and told her that I would not be coming home tonight. On this Shweta said that she is tired and will sleep soon.
Sachin further said- I already had doubts about the character of my wife. Due to this doubt, I suddenly returned home at around 11.30 pm. When he reached upstairs after opening the shutter below with a rope, he saw that the room was open and inside the room the wife was lying with two young men.
Seeing this I started making noise. Meanwhile, the wife said to the youth – kill him otherwise he will create a ruckus. After some time other people in the neighborhood called number 112. Police reached the spot and interrogated everyone. On this the youth told the police that they were just sitting. I said- Tell me sir, who stays sitting at 1 o’clock in the night? The police took all of us along and came to the post. Later my wife and I were asked to leave. Police said- don’t go home and fight.
Sachin told that after returning home, she started fighting and threatened that if I trapped those boys, I would trap you too. I will free the youth by morning, but now you will not be saved.
According to the accused, the wife said- You may kill me, but I will live with those three. I also strangled her in anger and she died. After this I ran and reached the clock tower. Kept sitting here for 3 to 4 hours. I thought we had eloped and got married. He has no one and I also have no one. That’s why I went to the police station.
