Actually, the shocking incident dates back to the year 2002. It all took place during the shooting of Hum Kisise Kum Nahin on the sets of the movie. Actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Sanjay Dutt were also a part of the project alongside Ajay.

According to TV9Hindi, Ajay was filming a scene for the flick. However, things did not seem to be working out as he was taking multiple retakes, one after another.

Frustrated with the repeated retakes, the director started hurling abuses at Ajay. Although both were very good friends and the abuse was meant in a lighthearted and fun spirit, Ajay got angry.

What followed was Ajay picking up a hockey stick that was lying there and running after the director. The person helming Hum Kisise Kum Nahin was none other than David Dhawan. Taking note of Ajay’s anger, David felt very scared. Ajay was so angry that Sanjay had to intervene.

You will be amazed to know that David had never seen Ajay filled with that much anger before. He hid behind Sanjay. Later, Sanjay took the stick from Ajay’s hands and calmed him down. Soon, David and Ajay extended apologies to each other and, today, the duo is very good friends.

Produced by Afzal Khan, Hum Kisise Kum Nahin took the silver screen by storm on May 31, 2002. It also featured Satish Kaushik, Anu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Mukesh Rishi, Ashish Vidyarthi, Avtar Gill, Navin Nischol, Supriya Karnik, Ali Asgar and Himani Shivpuri in pivotal roles.

As per Sacnilk, Hum Kisise Kum Nahin was made on a budget of Rs 18 crore. The industry tracker stated that the highly-discussed film grossed Rs 29.15 crore at the Box Office across the globe. It was a moderate commercial success.

The flick is rated 4.2 out of 10 on IMDb (Internet Movie Database) with ratings from more than a thousand users of the platform. The storyline of Hum Kisise Kum Nahin revolves around a dreaded Mumbai goon who falls in love with a young woman. But, he has to go through her brother and boyfriend to achieve his love.

If the rumour street is to be believed, the plot of the movie is inspired by the Harold Ramis-directed gangster comedy, Analyse This. Hum Kisise Kum Nahin opened to mostly mixed reviews from critics.
