‘Hum Hain Team India’: Queens Unveil Victory Anthem After Historic World Cup Triumph: Watch Video

Team India unveiled their victory anthem after winning the Cricket World Cup at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on November 2.  Smriti Madnahana, and Harmanpreet Kaur, along with other members of the team, sang the anthem themed ‘Hum Hai Team India’.

“Team India, Team India! Karde saabki hawa tight, Team India is here to fight. Koi Na lega hamko light…Our Future is Bright. Saath me Chalenge, Saath me Uthenge, Hum hain Team India, Hum saath me Jitenge.. Na lega koi panga, kar denge hum Nanga. Rahega sabse upar, Humara Tiranga. Hum hain Team India!! Hum hain Team India!! Hum hain Team India,” were the lyrics of the song.

 

 

Topsy Turvy Ride But Mission Accomplished

India’s run to the World Cup wasn’t smooth by any means. They lost to South Africa, Australia, and England in three back-to-back games, and faced a must-win situation against New Zealand. The Women in Blue, however, found form at the right time and beat New Zealand before defeating Australia in the semifinal. The final wasn’t an easy game, but the team stayed strong in tough situations and claimed the win.

BCCI Announce Reward For World Cup Queens

Meanwhile, the BCCI also announced a Rs 51 crore cash reward for the Women’s World Cup winning team, the coaches and support staff for their tremendous effort. The players will also get around 39 crore from the ICC as prize money for winning the World Cup.
