According to the information, a lot of negligence of a driver of HRTC bus has been revealed on Chuwadi route under district Chamba. Where he ran a bus full of riders for about eight kilometers in the dark of night without a headlight. The incident occurred on the Bharmour-Palampur route, where the bus was moving through the land to Chuwadi.

This area is considered to be a hilly, sloping and extremely risky, where driving is challenging even under normal conditions. Most of the drivers on this route drive very cautious even in daylight. In such a situation, running a headlight bus in the dark of night is not only indispensable, but also messing with dozens of lives.

People are raising many types of questions

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media, in which a person can be heard saying that the light of the bus is bad and still the driver is running it in the dark.

The video also told that the bus was seven-eight kilometers from Chuwadi when this situation came to light. People are raising questions that if the light of the bus was bad, it should have stopped the roadside at the same time. If there was an accident in this negligence, then who would have been responsible for it?

Corporation took action

In Chamba, HRTC deputy divisional manager Shugal Singh has confirmed that the bus is operated from Nagrota Bagwan depot in Kangra district of HRTC. On receiving the information of the video, the concerned depot management has been informed.

Also, the driver has been sought clarification regarding this serious negligence. He also said that the corporation has already given clear instructions to its drivers that the bus should be stopped there in the event of any technical fault and the passengers’ lives should not be taken forward by putting them in danger.
