Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan turns 76 today, September 6. Known for crafting cult classics in the ’90s and delivering genre-defining blockbusters in the 2000s, his directorial work has made a significant mark on Indian cinema.
On the special ocassion of his birthday today, family, friends and fans are showering love and best wishes on the director. Joining them is Hrithik Roshan’s Niece Suranika Soni, who took a stroll down memory lane to wish her Guddu Papa, and treated fans to adorable childhood pics.

Taking to her official Instagram on Saturday, she dropped a couple of pictures with Rakesh Roshan from her childhood days. In one of the pics, she was seen in lap of the director, as he pecked a kiss on her cheek. In the next pic, Suranika is seen in her elder days, as she poses with Rakesh. The next two pics also show Rakesh and Suranika, where she is seen as a kid and enjoying her Guddu Papa’s company.
Alongside the post, Suranika penned a sweet note to wish Rakesh Roshan on his 76th birthday. She wrote, “happy birthday to the strongest man i know. your strength is so powerful, that it inspires softness – there is no one like you guddu papa. through all the hardships, and all the pain, you have always kept your chin up and kept going.”
She added, “we may not say it as often as we should, but you inspire us to be better every single day and i love you to the moon and back.”

Rakesh soon took to the comments section to respond to Suranika’s birthday wish. He wrote, “Suru thank you & lots of love.”
Meanwhile, one of the fans wrote, “Omg such adorable pictures Surki.. tooo cute. Happy birthday dearest @rakesh_roshan9. wishing you good health and happiness always,” another added, “So cute.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rakesh Roshan is currently gearing up for Krrish 4. The film is already in its pre-production stage. Krrish 4 will go on floors in early 2026, and Rakesh has promised a big-scale film with YFX galore.
