As per the Hindu Panchang, the Trayodashi tithi of Shukla Paksha in Sawan begins at 2:08 PM on 6 August 2025 and ends at 2:27 PM on 7 August 2025. Therefore, the Pradosh Vrat should be observed on Wednesday, 6 August 2025, and will be referred to as Budh Pradosh Vrat (Wednesday Pradosh).

The auspicious time for Shiv Puja on Pradosh Vrat is from 7:08 PM to 9:16 PM on 6 August. Devotees are encouraged to worship Lord Shiva during this period for maximum spiritual benefit.
How to Please Lord Shiva on Pradosh Vrat
1. Perform Abhishek with Gangajal or Raw Milk
As per religious beliefs, offering Gangajal or raw milk on the Shivling is considered extremely auspicious. Even if a full puja is not possible, a simple abhishek with either of these is enough to invoke Lord Shiva’s blessings.
