- 2 cups idli rice
- ½ cup urad dal
- ¼ cup chana dal
- ¼ cup poha
- ½ teaspoon fenugreek seeds
- 4 dried red chillies
- 2 tablespoons chana dal
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 small onion
- 1 small tomato
- 1 teaspoon tamarind paste
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Water as needed
- 2 boiled potatoes
- 1 small onion
- 1 green chilli
- ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 5-6 curry leaves
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 tablespoons coriander leaves
- Oil or ghee
- Butter
Steps to prepare:
- Wash and soak idli rice, urad dal, chana dal, and fenugreek seeds together in water for 5-6 hours.
- Soak poha for 30 minutes in water before grinding.
- Drain the soaked ingredients and grind them with poha, adding water gradually.
- Add salt and mix well, and let it ferment overnight in water.
- Heat a pan with a little oil and roast dry red chillies, chana dal, garlic, and onion until golden brown.
