How special bombs, interceptor drones in the air? Due to which Ukraine targeted Russian weapons

Ukraine is now resorting to interceptor drones to face Russia’s attacks.

After the attack on Ukraine, Russia did all the experiments in the fight, but now it is taking things to a different level. For this, he has attacked Ukraine with a drone. In July alone, more than six thousand drones were launched on Ukraine including Kiev, Kharkeev, Odesa and other cities. Dozens of people were killed and hundreds of injured due to this. This was the biggest drone attack in a month since the beginning of the war in 2022. On July 9, Russia launched 700 attacks on Ukraine with Shahd drone in Iran. Ukraine is now resorting to interceptor drones to face these attacks in Russia. Let us know what happens is the interceptor drone and the drone of Russia which it has, how special is it?

Last month, Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky urged the country’s companies to increase the production and production of these interceptors. He said that I have met representatives of the manufacturers. Our request is 1000 interceptor per day.

What is interceptor drone?

The drone is usually known as Anmand Ariel Vehicle (UAV). At the same time, interceptor drones are UAVs that are constructed to detect, follow and disturb other drones and other air threats. These drones are constructed to actively face hazards. They work autonomously or semi -surveillance.

These include features like advanced sensing, autonomous navigation, which automatically enable them to work at a fast pace by detecting the target. They are equipped with net launchers, electronic jammers etc. Their capacity is also further enhanced by advanced navigation technology such as AI capacity navigation system.

These drones are smaller than common UAVs

Interceptor drones are actually smaller and faster than other UAVs. This makes it easier to detect and react to them. Use your radar, spotters or sensors to detect dangers. Some of these are connected to the country’s air defense network. This provides the convenience of combating the dangers in real time through missile system or ground based radar system. Once these drones are found out of the enemy UAV, they either hit themselves or using net and explosives, they collapse the enemy.

They are more expensive than normal drones

These interceptor drones are more impressive when they work automatically. In fact, if 700 drones are to be used simultaneously, then 700 operators will be needed, but it gives relief in the case of autonomous drones. According to Luba Shipovich, CEO of Dishinitus, a company that helps Ukrainian soldiers to run interceptor drones, it is not easy to collect as many operators when a huge amount of drone is to be attacked.

In such a situation, with the help of AI, a large number of interceptor drones can be used without any limit. However, these drones are expensive than common drones, but they cost less than other air defense systems. For example, an anti -aircraft missile costs around Rs 8.5 crore, while the surface -to -air missile costs between Rs 34.98 lakh to 87 lakh rupees. At the same time, an interceptor drone costs up to four and a half lakh rupees.

Shahd is competed with drone made in Iran

These drones also become important for Ukraine, because it faces Russia’s Shahd drone in Iran, which has become a big threat to Ukraine. Jet engines have been used in Russia which Russia is using drone against Ukraine. This makes their speed very fast. Shahd drone in Russia is known as Geran-3. Their range is also enough. Russia’s strategy is to discourage Ukraine security personnel using maximum number of Shahd drones.

Russia has increased several times attack with drone

That is why Russia targeted Ukraine with a long range 6,297 drones in July this year (July 2025). This number is about 14 times more than the 400 drones sent by Russia in the year 2024. Not only this, between June 1 to 20 under its strategy, Russia attacked Ukraine with 3681 Shahd drones and fake UAVs. This caused a kind of panic in Ukraine’s defense line. Earlier last year, Russia was attacking an average of 600 UAVs every month. Experts say that these are only estimates and the actual number can be much higher than this.

Both countries are increasing production capacity

One step further, Russia is now going to increase its production capacity and make about 100 drones daily. They fly two to four km above the ground, so that the surface does not fall into the range of firing. That is why Ukraine is also going to build 30 thousand drones of long range and two million first person view drones throughout the year.
