Bhooth Bangla advance booking day 1 collection

According to early data from trade portal Sacnilk, the film has begun its booking journey on a steady note. As of the latest estimates, Bhooth Bangla has sold 8,068 tickets for Day 1, generating around Rs 13.84 lakh in gross collections. When blocked seats are included, the advance figure rises to approximately Rs 38.97 lakh.

Trade observers note that the slowdown of the Dhurandhar 2 box-office wave may benefit the upcoming release. With fewer big-ticket films dominating screens this week, Bhooth Bangla could attract audiences looking for a fresh theatrical experience.

Bhooth Bangla paid previews and CBFC certification

The makers have also scheduled special paid preview shows on Thursday, April 16 from 9 PM, a strategy often used to create early buzz and word-of-mouth. Fans of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan have been particularly eager to see the pair collaborate again, especially in a genre they have previously handled with memorable results.

Before its theatrical debut, Bhooth Bangla underwent scrutiny from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The board eventually granted the film a U/A 16+ certificate, but not before asking the makers to implement several changes.

According to reports, the CBFC objected to certain dialogues and references in the film. An obscene word appearing around the 26-minute mark was ordered to be replaced. Another set of similar words appearing roughly an hour into the film was also flagged and modified.

Additionally, an offensive subtitle near the film’s climax had to be removed entirely. The board also raised concerns about a denigrating reference to women in the first half, asking the makers to replace it with more appropriate wording. Beyond dialogue changes, the CBFC instructed the production team to include clear disclaimers related to religious and superstitious references throughout the film.

Alongside Akshay and Wamiqa, the film features Tabu, the late Asrani, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Mithila Palkar in key roles.
