Sunny Deol told in an interview to Zoom that Ghadar was offered to him when he was shooting for another film in Ooty. They say,
Sharmaji (Anil Sharma) came there to tell me the story. At that time I was not keen to do the film. Because I did not see the rest of his films. I just saw how they do action. But when he narrated the subject, I liked it very much.
Sunny further said,
The whole night I heard the narration and we were discussed. And from my side there was only one thing that it should look like that era. Because if that round is not shown, the story will not look real. The experience of working on the film was great. I enjoy every film, whatever it is. Because there are many memories associated with them.
Bollywood does not coordinate with the public: Sunny Deol
Sunny Deol said in this conversation that Bollywood has no coordination with the audience. Actually, they were telling that the people of the industry suspected ‘Ghadar’. They say,
Yes, this happened. This was because the industry does not have synergy with the audience. Because when you get more, you forget. You go away from your craft. So this happened. Songs too. When I used to narrate songs to people, they did not like them at that time. But now when the film has to move forward, it moves forward on its own. No one can stop him.
Ghadar was made ‘Sunny Deol’s most earning film
‘Ghadar: Ek Prem Katha’ was Sunny Deol’s first film with director Anil Sharma, which proved to be an allotime blockbuster at the box office. Released in 2001, the film grossed Rs 133 crore worldwide and it was the most earning film of Sunny Deol till that time. In 2023, ‘Ghadar 2’ broke its record by collecting a collection of Rs 691 crore worldwide. Sunny Deol appeared in ‘Jat’ last time.
