Venice, situated in the northeast of Italy, is a medieval city. The attraction of the uniqueness of this city, situated amidst the water of the Gulf, is such that millions of tourists come here every year. This city, situated near the Adriatic Sea, seems to be floating in the water.
The history of Venice is so old
Its history begins with 402 AD, when the people of the Veneti community took refuge on the islands of Venice. In 421 AD, these people established a independent democracy, which remained independent till 1797, until Napoleon Bonaparte captured it. The city, extending to 118 islands, is spread between the Adriatic Sea, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Greece.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding has been said to cost Rs 400 crore.
Venice is a miracle city
This city of Italy is actually no less than a historical miracle. Like a normal city, there is no existence of roads in this city. Thousands of years ago, this city, which was situated above the water, is the means of traffic. Here the roads are missing, there is no solid land nor clean water for drinking. Despite this, the people of Venice built here and made one of the most powerful and rich cities in Europe. Impressed by the invasions, when people around Venice reached these small islands on the sea shore in terms of safety, they were not worth living at all.
The foundation of the city was prepared like this
This is a matter of the same time. If a person accidentally buried his chappu in the ground and found that he became solid after going down. This became the basis of Venice. After finding out that the wood gets stronger when the wood is strong, thick stems of the strong trees were brought from the forests of Croatia. They were buried in the ground. The stems of trees were buried close to each other in deep marshy land for about five meters. Then wooden planks were laid on them. Large pieces of stones were placed on them. In this way the foundation of the city was stabilized above the water.
Construction of buildings and bridges
After the foundation of the city, buildings were built on them. Their maximum height was up to three floors, due to which the weight was reduced. Here the walls of buildings were made with bricks and special garas were placed to connect the bricks, so that the walls are strong, they should remain flexible. The floors and inner walls inside the buildings were made of wooden planks. They were strengthened by applying iron rods. When people started living permanently in Venice, there was a need for bridges for traffic to its islands. For this, the first stone bridge was built in the first rialto.
It is said that 12 thousand stems of wood were buried to make it. Arch of stones weighing 10 thousand tons was made on them. After being built, this bridge proved so strong that using this technique, a bridge was built on all the islands of Venice and connected to each other.
Drinking water shortage in the city settled on water
There was a shortage of drinking water in this city, situated on the salt water of the sea. Initially, water was brought to drums from the mainland to drink. When the population increased, their walls were made waterproof by digging deep pits on certain islands to collect rain water. Stones and sand were filled around them by making wells inside these pits. With this technique, rain water filters and accumulates in pits.
List of world shelters included
There are no vehicles running on the road for traffic in Venice. Canals are used for traffic here. It is the only city in the world, where waterways and walking paths are different. Gandola boats are used for traffic through canals. Grand Canal is the main waterway here, from where historical buildings and bridges of this city appear. As people became familiar with the beauty of this city, people started arriving to see it. Now millions of tourists come here annually, due to their beauty and uniqueness, it has also become the main place of royal marriage for the rich. Venice has also found a place in UNESCO’s list of world heritage.
