Toyota Motor Corporation recently unveiled , a compact and rugged SUV that expands the iconic Land Cruiser lineup.
The FJ is set to debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 and will go on sale in Japan around mid-2026.
The Land Cruiser FJ is designed as the most compact member of Toyota’s Land Cruiser family, which currently includes the 300 Series Station Wagon, 70 Series, and 250 Series. Measuring 4,575mm in length, 1,855mm in width, and 1,960mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,580mm, the FJ features a two-row, five-passenger layout. Its minimum turning radius of 5.5 metres enhances manoeuvrability in tight conditions while retaining off-road capability.
Powering the FJ is a 2.7-litre 2TR-FE petrol engine producing 163bhp and 246Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed Super ECT automatic transmission with a part-time 4WD system. Built on a platform refined from Toyota’s IMV series, the FJ offers off-road performance comparable to the 70 Series, despite its compact footprint.
